Great success for the “Aurora day”!
Aurora, the new generation of rotogravure press for the publication industry, has been officially presented to leading Italian printers and publishers on Tuesday 15th June.

Cerutti has just launched its brand-new “Aurora”, an important step forward in gravure development, in front of the whole Italian printing and publishing community. After the first press was sold to Abril, the Brazilian communication Group, Latin-American leader in magazine publication with over 300 titles published, Cerutti has introduced the Aurora concept to the Italian market.
This line, called by President and CEO Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti during his speech “the new rotogravure”, is a totally new concept, able to compete against web offset and the result of a long-standing experience in publication, packaging and newspaper fields. Giancarlo Cerutti opened the convention explaining his vision of the project:“Aurora is the result of a team effort that will improve our customers’ competitiveness, a more compact and simpler press that allows flexibility and reduces waste to a minimum. Less manpower thanks to user-friendly and easier handling, less energy to run and a higher productivity in terms of quantity of pages printed per hour: this is the key message, proved by figures that will certainly amaze you!”
At the end of Dr Cerutti’s speech Riccardo Montagnini, responsible for the Gravure Line Design for Publication and Catalogues at Cerutti, explained the new concept in greater detail with the help of data and graphics. Max Rid, Heliograph Holding CEO, concluded the meeting by highlighting the developments in the pre-press area and, specifically, in cylinder engraving.
Great satisfaction was apparent at the end of the day following the very positive and encouraging feedback obtained from the printing and publishing community. Dr Giancarlo Cerutti stated:“I am convinced this "Aurora Day" has proved our ability to develop an enhanced product that confirms the well-known advantages of gravure printing for publication: high quality and flexibility, now combined with lower runs and very competitive costs.” |
