Cerutti Software Design Center in Trivandrum, Kerala Region (India)
The first factor that pushed us in looking at India as an opportunity of growth in the field at issue, was doubtless the human one; a very high density of technicians in the IT field. Every year Kerala alone confers a degree upon 25,000 engineers.

The widespread knowledge of the English language, in addition to an Anglo-Saxon style school system, makes the competent Indian people easily approachable by Europeans.

Internet and broadband transmission nets available at a relatively low cost have decisively helped demolish the access barriers to this enormous source of skilled people. Thanks to internet, the development of co-operation instruments has opened up new opportunities to establish synergies capable of overcoming the geographic distance obstacle.

The Kerala State is connected with two large optical fibre communication systems: SEA-ME-WE 3 and SAFE - more than 15 GBPS of band width. This means we are able to take advantage of internet low costs for data transmission, telephone and videotel communications (Skype) as well as other co-operation instruments.

At Technopark in Trivandrum, the structure in which our Indian technicians operate, 12,500 people are now working under the employment of more than 100 companies; both Indian and Western.

Besides Cerutti, among the companies working inside Technopark are Infosys, Tata, Allianz, Ernst & Young, Tooz Animation and Toroid; they mainly carry out activities such as back office, software development and help desk.
